Gandate Rock
Formed of lava from Mt. Ontake, the Gandate Rock has been designated a Natural Monument by the prefecture. Gandate Park has its own lookout, a kiosk, and a parking lot where large buses can enter. In the park, there is a 600-meter waterfall viewing track leading to Mitsutaki Falls. Partway along the way, a statue of the Fudo Myo-o is enshrined, with links to the renowned Buddhist sculptor Enku. Enjoy a walk with many different faces—from the fresh green of spring to autumn leaves.
