A religious festival at Iyahime Shrine in Kodamachi, Notojima where a huge pillar reaching a height of 30m and weighing as much as 10 tons is lit on fire. As the pillar burns, it is said that if it falls towards the mountains, there will be abundant harvest, and if it falls towards the ocean, there will be plenty of fish caught.

Toga Art Park
In 1976, Tadashi Suzuki (of SCOT) moved his base of operations from Tokyo and began his theatrical work. A theater festival is held every summer, attracting theater fans from all over the world.
