Visiting the Osaka waterfalls

Prickly waterlily at Juni-cho Lagoon Riverside Park
The prickly waterlily is an annual aquatic plant belonging to the family Nymphaeaceae, and has small reddish-violet flowers during the flowering season.
There was a time when the number of developing root plants decreased due to various environmental changes, and germination could not be seen, but since 1981, efforts were put into regeneration and there was success with natural germination in 1993, which has been a delight to the eyes of citizens and tourists.

The park is home to 20,000 hydrangeas of 70 different species that bloom in vivid colors on both sides of the 500-meter Hydrangea Avenue.
