Nanto Toga Soba Festival

For many years, when winter came in the Toga area, the locals would have a celebration with soba (buckwheat noodles) that were called “Gonbe” to welcome visitors and to welcome home those returning from work far away. The area has since developed this tradition into one great festival. Visitors can now enjoy many local Toga specialties like local handmade soba, salt-grilled char, and skewered sweet mochi in addition to a variety of performances including folk songs, yosakoi dance, and various singers.
