Noto Wakura Manyo no Sato Marathon
This marathon begins at Wakura Onsen, and is raced along the roads of Nanao Bay, an area with connections to the Manyoshu, the oldest existing collection of Japanese poetry. The course is officially recognized by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations. One of the marathon’s unique points is its oyster festival, allowing marathon participants to savor the flavors of winter in Nanao with local Nanao Bay oysters.
