Shiroyome Senmaida Light Up(Aze no Kirameki)

In the time between the end of the rice harvest at the Shiroyome Senmaida Rice Fields and the beginning of another planting season, the “Shimmering Ridges” event is held here, illuminating the spaces between the rows of rice at what is nationally designated a sight of scenic beauty.
Nearly 25 thousand solar LED lights are installed along the ridges between the rice plots across every field at Senmaida. When the lights are turned on, the shape of the Senmaida fields stands out in three-dimensional fashion out of the darkness, creating a beautiful geometric pattern.
