The Great Buddha of Takaoka

This large Buddha statue was made with the exceptional metal-casting skills of the people of Takaoka, a city known for its bronze work.
At 15.85 meters tall and 65 tons, the Great Buddha of Takaoka stands alongside those found in Nara and Kamakura as one of Japan’s largest Buddha statues.
