HIDA
Kamioka Lab
"Bringing science and society together"
Hida's Kamioka-cho is a hotspot for research into unraveling the mysteries of the universe and elementary particles, with high-tech facilities like the Super-Kamiokande Observatory used in research on neutrino oscillations that won the Nobel Prize in Physics.
KAMIOKALab is a place open to the general public and is meant to exhibit the wonders of this research, thereby helping foster ties between science and society.
Come and experience thrilling videos and games that demonstrate the peculiar properties of elementary particles which cannot be seen normally, and learn how our everyday lives are connected to the grand odyssey of the universe.
