Myojoji Temple
Myojo-ji Temple is the head temple of the Nichiren sect of Buddhism in the Hokuriku region, opened in 1294. The resplendant beauty of its Momoyama Period (1568–1600) construction is preserved for the visitors of today, especially in the five-storied pagoda, with its multicolored carvings, recognized as one of the Hokuriku region's finest.

Myojo-ji Temple is home to 10 nationally-designed Important Cultural Properties. The temple's architectural style, and its sophisticated carvings that appear at every turn are marked representations of the culture of the time of its construction and restoration, and quite a sight for visitors.
